Her thorough assessment services encompass ADHD, autism, learning disorders, and intellectual and executive functioning, as well as complex diagnostic cases marked by emotional or behavioral concerns.

Her clinical approach, grounded in trauma-informed and strength-based principles, involves a close partnership with clients and families to identify personal strengths and specific challenges to create impactful support strategies.  A feature of her work is a commitment to research regarding test validity, practice effects, and the nuances of prior cognitive assessment exposure, considerations that are essential during high-stakes evaluations for various needs.
The objective of these collaborative evaluations is to provide every client with a comprehensive grasp of their unique learning identity. By providing essential insights and practical resources, Karen empowers both adult individuals and parents to become highly effective advocates for their own or their children's needs.

Psychotherapy Services:
Drawing from an extensive experience and training in treating trauma, anxiety disorders, severe mental illness, and relationship stressors, Karen is dedicated to mental health advocacy and reducing social stigma. She believes that while navigating mental illness presents significant challenges, the process of embracing discomfort to engage in therapeutic work is both healing and empowering. She employs evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),and EMDR in her practice. Karen’s practice is defined by her commitment to collaborative care, empathy, and active listening. What distinguishes her approach is a diligent integration of evidence-based treatments with a focus on the whole person, relational connection, and multicultural awareness. Ultimately, her goal is to empower her patients to achieve agency over their own psychological well-being.

When not in her practice, she finds joy in nature, traveling, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
